Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Bamford Road, Bedford, late last night (Wednesday).
The incident happened between 11.15pm and 11.30pm on 17 December, when the victim was approached while sitting in his car by three men in dark clothing, wearing balaclavas and carrying knives.
They smashed the car window before attacking him. He managed to drive away but later went to Bedford Hospital for treatment. He has suffered serious injuries.
Police believe the offenders ran off towards Cardington Road and are urging anyone who saw what happened, or who has CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage from the area at the time, to come forward.
PC Ellie Rogers, of Bedfordshire Police, said: “This was a vicious attack which has left a man with very serious injuries.
“It is important that we trace these attackers as quickly as possible, and we are asking anyone with information or CCTV footage to get in touch.
“We believe they ran off towards Cardington Road, so if anyone saw anything, please get in touch.”
