A group of Palestinians, including two 14-year-old boys, will be visiting Bedford at the end of this month as guests of Bedford Friends of Al Walaja.
The group, which has established a friendship link between Bedford and the village of Al Walaja, will host a public meeting on Friday, 28 November, giving Bedfordians the chance to hear from the guests.

The visit to Bedford is part of a wider tour of Britain, organised by CADFA (Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association).
As part of their visit, there will be a public meeting at 6pm in the Queen’s Park Community Centre, 52 Marlborough Road, Bedford, MK40 4LF.
Bedford and Kempston MP, Mohammad Yasin (Labour), the Mayor, Tom Wootton (Conservative) and borough councillors have all been invited because of the town’s recognised link with Al Walaja.
“The children will introduce themselves, local children may also speak, and we will hear how Bedford Friends of Al Walaja is planning to help the villagers, who lead difficult lives under Israeli occupation,” said organiser, Rob Wall.
“There will be a chance to support these efforts, for example, by sponsoring a tree to be planted in Al Walaja.”
