Editor,
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported me during my recent breakdown, due to the loss of the love of my life, Mary Anna Fanthom, from which I am now in recovery.
My sincere thanks go to the Bedford Hospital nurses, especially the auxiliary nurses, the Bedfordshire Talking Therapies, the Red Cross, BPHA Finances, the Golden Years Club, and all who attended my wife’s funeral.
I am especially grateful to the De Parys group, particularly Sandy, as well as to Mrs Brown, who kindly took over the funeral arrangements together with Clarabut & Plumbe. Their support was invaluable, and I will never forget their kindness.
To all who stood by me during this very difficult time, please accept my deepest thanks.
The loss of my wife, Anna, and her funeral were among the hardest moments I have ever faced.
If it wasn’t for the auxiliary nurses, who encouraged me to step outside and reconnect with life, I would still be in a very dark place mentally.
I am also deeply grateful to the staff at the Tiger Pub, who welcomed me with open arms every time I visited and still continue to do so. Also to Laura Davis for her unwavering help and support.
Thanks to all of you, I am now on the road to recovery. For that, I am truly grateful.
God bless you all.
Anthony Fanthom
