Police are appealing for information and dash-cam footage after a cyclist in his 40s died following a collision with a car in Bedford yesterday afternoon (Friday. 27 June).
Emergency services were called to Broad Avenue, at the junction with Gloucester Road, at around 2.30pm.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collisions Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the person who died in this tragic collision.
“We’re working to establish the circumstances of the incident and would encourage anyone with dash-cam footage, or anyone who witnessed the incident, to get in touch.”
