Bedfordshire Police have confirmed they are seeking witnesses to an incident at the Bedford Summer Sessions in Bedford Park yesterday (Sunday) ahead of the headline show by McFly.
It led to a woman in her 40s being hospitalised.
The incident happened during Twin Atlantic’s warm up set, causing the lead singer to call for security and medics to attend after seeing events unfold from the stage.
They then went on to pause their set and leave the stage while it was dealt with by security personnel.
A spokesperson for event organisers, Cuffe & Taylor, said: “We are aware of an incident that occurred during last night’s performance within the audience.
“Our priority is always the safety of all attendees and performers and our team acted quickly to assess and resolve the situation. This resulted in a brief pause of the show.”
Bedfordshire Police released a statement saying: “We received a report of an incident that took place at Bedford Park yesterday (Sunday) shortly after 8.45pm.
“A woman in her 40s was taken to hospital with suspected injuries and has since been discharged.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to report online at beds.police.uk/ro/report, quoting reference 40/40163/25.”
