Real Bedford’s men kick off their season this Saturday (3 August) in what many at McMullen Park will hope is an extended FA Cup run as they host St Neots Town of the United Counties League in the Extra Preliminary round; one of 221 FA Cup fixtures around the country.
In the latest of Bedford Independent’s pre-season interviews with the Borough’s biggest clubs, Real Bedford Men’s manager, Rob Sinclair sat down to discuss their chances of a third successive promotion, as well as expectations surrounding the Pirates and indeed, the world’s oldest knockout cup competition.
Real Bedford secured back-to-back promotions last season, holding off Milton Keynes Irish in the Spartans South Midlands Premier Division to win a place in the Southern League setup for the first time in their history.
