An international charity are continuing their Bedford-based fundraising with another charity football match next month, as Football Academy Noah (FAN) FC face off against Hope & Faith Charity at Wootton Blue Cross FC on Friday 14 November.
Football Academy Noah began life in South Africa as the brain child of Johan Mortier, whose 16-year old son, Noah tragically died in a fatal hit and run accident and always dreamed of making a difference for the poorest in South African society and beyond.
However, the efforts of the charity have now crossed continents and their UK counterpart has set up base in Bedford.
Football Academy Noah is a charity who aim to bring football to underprivileged children, and started out in the Mtubatuba region in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa but has now spread its wings across international borders.
Their UK contingent, headed up Bedford’s own Jamie Carter, are hosting a series of exhibition matches; the first of which raised £345 and will hope to better that number with a Friday night game at the home of Wootton Blue Cross, Weston Park.
Tickets are just £3, kicking off at 7pm on Friday 14 November and they can be bought on the gate.
The charity are still on the lookout for more charity fixtures, with the aim of raising as much as possible for those who may not get opportunities in the world’s beautiful game.
