The world of volleyball is about to grow in Bedford, as GNG Volleyball Club have expanded into a Women’s side that will continue competing into 2026.
GNG Volleyball Club, who are already established in the town with a 50-year history, have now kicked off their Women’s team, who began training in September and are now looking ahead to continuing competitive fixtures into the new year.

The team currently compete in the Northampton League alongside seven other teams, with training sessions taking place every Tuesday at the sports hall of Bedford Greenacre Independent School.
The club captain, Cristina is looking forward to what lies ahead for the new calendar year.
“As the team captain, I’m proud to say that we are a strong, ambitious, and united volleyball team”, said Cristina.

“We train hard, pushing each other to improve and reach higher goals. Our teamwork and determination set us apart both on and off the court. We believe in ourselves, in our potential, and in the success we are building together”, she added.
Once the weather improves, the players head outside with additional training sessions at Bedford Park.
This season, the Club competed in National Division 3 and the Herts League, performing strongly across the board, including a solid fourth place finish for the Men’s first team in the Hertfordshire League after eight wins from 16 games.
Now, the Women will be hoping to better their success.
The first training session is free, and is offered to female players age 15 and above, but the Club have asked that these are arranged with the club’s coach though their social media channels.
