An 81-year-old woman who died following a collision in Bedford has been named as Brenda Coulton.
Emergency services were called at around 2.45pm last week (26 March) to reports that a grey Volkswagen Golf had collided with a white Renault truck parked in a layby on the A4280 St Neots Road.
Mrs Coulton, who was a passenger in the Golf, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Family tribute
In a tribute, her family said: “Brenda was a loving, and much-loved wife, mum, grandma, sister and auntie, and will be greatly missed by all her family and the many friends she’d made over the years.”
Appeal continues
Detective inspector Craig Wheeler, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with Brenda’s loved ones at this sad time.
“We are continuing to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision, or who has dashcam footage from the scene to get in touch as soon as possible, as this would help with our enquiries.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Plaistow.
The family has asked that no photograph is used.
